Clean Air For All

My class recently watched a video called 'If the world were a Village of 100 people" and it stated that only 63% of people had clean air to breath. This is probably due to Global Warming. Most of the Factories in the world are in third world countries. So it can be assumed that the 37% of people that don't have clean air to breath, live in third world countries. It can also be assumed that in these people have lung diseases and various cancers. Well lets take this into perspective. So when you want and T-Shirt that you really liked at a store, but when you got home you didn't like it anymore. You would probably hang it up in your closet and never wore it. You took someones life for nothing. A factory made that T-Shirt and put toxic gases into our air, that someone breath. Later if they keep inhaling this toxic air they might get lung cancer and ultimately die. Just think about that for a second. We are so fortunate here in Canada to have clean air to breath well others aren't as lucky. I say for 2011 we make a resoultion to make sure there is clean air for everyone in the world.

Oil Spills

"I looked the lake. There was a black skin over top of it. I was just about to swim out and investigate the mysterious substance. I was just at the edge of the lake when i man told me not to jump into the lake. He said it was poisoned." There is a 99% chance every year that there will be an oil spill every year. The creatures that live like otter's and fish will die. There is no hope for them. they will be swimming in there peaceful homes and they will never know what hit them.
A black cloak silent as night will be there end. You can make a change. Don't your car that much, that's all it takes.

Air Pollution Facts of 2010

The cars we drive, the factories, the electricity we use all send green house gases into our atmosphere that are causing Global Warming. You think it doesn't effect you but it does. We are beginning to have breathing problems that will later on lead to lung cancer. The charts are at a record high this year. The CO2 in the atmosphere is deteriorating because of it. 70% of the CO2 in our atmosphere is caused by cars. The CO2 level is 10 POINTS higher than is was in 2009!!! It may not seem like a lot but it is. Just think about that...

Pollution in our Oceans

You know when you get those 6 packs of pop cans, and you rip the plastic off the top of them. Then you through it in the trash can. I bet you think they go to a land fill. well your right in a way. They are taken from our homes to a land fill. But some don't always make it there. They are carried by the wind to our oceans. Some sea animals creatures such as seal, fish, or seagulls will see this and think of this as food. They will either eat this and move on with their lives or it will be trapped in their body and soon kill them from the inside. Or they will trap themself's the small plastic hole choking them to death. Is this what you want, to kill animals just for a can of pop. All you have to do to make a change is to make a cut in the plastic holes so animals wouldn't choke. You could also stop drinking pop everyday this would reduce plastic plastic in our oceans and keep you healthy. So make a difference in the world today. The fish thank you!
